Cane Corso Attack. Their instincts demand that they kill or chase off any intruders. Dog bite-related injuries represent a public health problem.

Cane corsos are large Italian dogs bred to hunt wild boars and grow to around 100 pounds. When properly socialized a Cane Corso has an incredibly discerning nature and can sense when someone approaches with bad intentions. The breed was officially recognized in the miscellaneous class by the American Kennel Club in 2010.

This incident along with other reported severe dog bite attacks by individuals of the Cane Corso breed reinforces the belief that some Cane corsos can be extremely dangerous.

The Italian mastiff better known as the Cane Corso first came to the attention of many when a pair of Cane Corsos fatally attacked a jogger in Michigan in 2014. Well-socialized Corsi will not exhibit aggression to friends and family who show no threat to their pack. In reality if a wolf and a Cane Corso met the wolf would most likely run away unless it is ill or protecting cubs. Being an intelligent breed Cane Corsos will assess potential danger to their human family before attacking an intruder.
